Course Preview
This 90-minute video course provides essential accessibility information for public spaces with an emphasis on theaters, stadiums, auditoriums and school modernizations. The course explores: assistive listening systems; accessible seating types and requirements including a comparison between ADA and California Building Code seating requirements,and sample layouts; acceptable paths of travel; and code exemptions to accessible requirements. The course also provides an overview of and important insights into California’s Division of the State Architect’s plan review process for accessibility requirements.
This course complies with California licensure requirements regarding accessibility and provides essential information about accessibility requirements applicable in most states. Take the entire series of 4 courses and fulfill all 5 hours of your California SB1608 license requirements.
